This quick guide outlines the steps required to create a note in Curve Hero using a templated note that was previously created in Curve Forms.

Section 1 - Opening the Templated Note Dialog Box
The Templated Note dialog box can be opened from multiple modules. Choose the option below that fits your current workflow:
Option 1 - Opening in the Sidekick

In the Sidekick, click Notes.

Click the Add Templated Note button.
Option 2 - Opening in the Billing Module

In the Sidekick, click Billing.

Right-click the applicable invoice and select Add templated note.
Option 3 - Opening in the Charting Module
Note: This is the most common method for documenting clinical visit details.

In the Sidekick, click Charting.

Right-click the specific visit within a treatment plan and select Add Templated Note.
Option 4 - Opening in the Notes Drop-Down

In the Sidekick, click the Notes summary arrow.

Click the Add Templated Note button.
Option 5 - Opening in the Scheduler

Double-click the appointment on the schedule.

Click the Add Templated Note button within the appointment dialog.
Note: This can also be done during initial appointment creation.
Section 2 - Creating a Note in the Templated Note Dialog Box

The Templates section displays your saved forms.
Note: Favorited templates (marked with a blue star) appear at the top and are specific to your user profile.

Click a template folder to expand your categories.

Click the specific template you wish to use.

Fill out the information in the template fields.

To add a note tag, click the Tag(s) drop-down menu.

Check the applicable tags and click outside the menu to close it.

Click the Checkmark icon to transfer the data to the editor.
Note: Required questions marked with a red asterisk must be answered before you can proceed.

Review the note text. You may use the format menu to apply Bold, Italic, Lists, or Colors.

If the note is not finished, click Finish Later to save it as an incomplete draft.

Click Save to finalize the note and close the dialog box.

The finalized note will now appear in the patient's Notes history.
