This quick guide provides a basic overview of Note Tags, how they are attached, and how to sort them in the Sidekick.

Section 1 - Viewing Note Tags Using the Sidekick

With the correct patient at the top of the Sidekick, click the Notes summary arrow.

In the Notes drop-down, a list of all saved notes can be displayed or sorted by category. The notes that display by default are determined by the module currently open.

Click the status drop-down menu to select if all, active, or deleted notes will display.

To filter the notes according to the tag(s) associated with them, click the tagged drop-down menu.

Select the desired note tags from the drop-down list. Click the tag or tags to display only those specific categories in the Sidekick.
Section 2 - Adding a Note Tag When Creating a New Note

Within the Sidekick, click Notes.

In the Notes dialog box, click the Add Note button.

In the note editor, click the Tags include drop-down menu.

In the Tags include drop-down list, select all applicable tags to add to the note.

A custom report called the Patient Notes Report can be created to include the Note tag column for auditing purposes.
