This quick guide outlines the steps required to add and edit a custom note tag as well as how to modify the Sidekick modules associated with system and custom note tags.

Steps
Section 1 - Accessing the Note Tags Section

In the Sidekick, click the More menu, then click Administration.

In the Administration menu, within the Practice information drop-down list, click Note Management.

The Note Management module opens and the Note Tags section displays all of the note tags associated with the practice.
Note: System note tag rows display with a blue background, while custom note tag rows display with a white background.

Section 2 - Filtering Note Tags
Note tags can be filtered using the Status and Type drop-down menus.

Filter 1 - Status

Click the Status drop-down menu (default is Active).
- All: Displays both Active and Inactive tags.
- Active: Displays tags currently available for use.
- Inactive: Displays deactivated custom tags.

Filter 2 - Type

Click the Type drop-down menu.
- System: Tags generated by Curve (cannot be deleted or renamed).
- Custom: User-created tags (can be edited, deactivated, or deleted).

Section 3 - Adding a Custom Note Tag

Click the Add Note Tag button.

Enter the Note Tag Name.

Select associated Sidekick Modules to auto-tag notes created in those modules.

- Click Save.
Section 4 - Editing a Note Tag
- Click the More Options menu (three dots) and select Edit.

Update the name or Sidekick associations and click Save.

Section 5 - Deactivating a Custom Note Tag
- Select Deactivate from the More Options menu. This moves the tag to Inactive status.
Section 6 - Activating a Custom Note Tag

Filter for Inactive tags, select Activate from the More Options menu to return the tag to the active list.
Section 7 - Deleting a Custom Note Tag

Select Delete from the More Options menu.
Warning: Deleted tags cannot be retrieved. Existing notes will keep the note text but lose the deleted tag label.
