Description
This Quick Guide demonstrates how to add insurance maximum amounts and categories.
Steps
- The insurance maximum categories table allows users to decide if the insurance plan maximum is one lump sum or if it can be split into specific categories: Preventive, Basic, Major, and Ortho. On the insurance Plan Information page, click Edit Maximums.
- The Maximums window will open.
- Begin by setting the amounts and frequency for the Standard Maximums.
- Click inside the Individual Amount box and enter the individual maximum amount.
- Next, click inside the Family Amount box and enter the family maximum amount.
- Then, click inside the Frequency box.
- A dropdown menu will appear. Click the preferred frequency option, either Annual or Lifetime.
- For the remaining coverage categories, the table defaults to each category being covered by the standard coverage maximum. This is indicated by a blue checkmark in the "Covered by Standard?" column, which prevents further coverage edits for that specific category.
- To change coverage options for the remaining categories, click the Blue Checkmark Box to uncheck it. The box will turn gray, enabling you to edit the Individual, Family, and Frequency columns for that category.
- Uncheck and fill in the amounts and frequencies for any remaining categories not included in the standard maximum coverage. The process is the same as described in previous steps.
- When all selections have been made, click Save.
- The new coverage maximum preferences will then display in the coverage maximums table.
- Additionally, within the insurance section of the patient's Sidekick menu, the standard coverage for maximums is set to unlimited, and only the remaining benefits will show for a straightforward understanding of coverage. The maximums and deductibles table will also reflect any pending transactions.
