Description
This quick guide demonstrates the most common ways Profile information converts into Curve Hero, as well as how to manage the converted patient data.
About
In many conversions, there is little to no data that must be managed in the patient Profile. There are, however, some fields that need to be checked to assure they are set up correctly in Curve Hero.
Steps
- If there are patients that are minors in the database, search for a minor in the Sidekick, and make them the active patient. Click Profile.
2. In the Personal Information section of the Profile, check the Responsible Party field. This is the person that is over the Billing account. It is also the name at the top of statements, and the address of the RP is where the statement(s) will be sent. Make sure this is correct for this patient.
3. Check the Relationship to the HOH field, and make sure it is correct for this patient.
4. Check the Head of Household field. The HOH is the individual who will receive notifications for the family members' appointments. The address of the HOH should match the address of the patient. This assures the living address is clear and accurate for every patient in the database.
5. Verify the information in the Contact Details section. If the patient does not have a mobile phone, this field can be left blank, or it can be the mobile number of the HOH.
6. Check the Email Address field. If there is an email entered, it should be the address for the active patient and not the email address for the HOH or RP. This is because an email address can only be used once in Curve Hero.
7. Emails can be sent directly from Curve Hero and Curve GRO. These contains protective health information, so it is imperative that these go to the intended recipient. Beneath the Email Address field it displays the Responsible party's Email Address and the Head of household's Email Address.
8. The email notifications in Curve Hero and Curve GRO can be set to send to the patient, the HOH and/or the RP. This assures the correct recipient(s) receive the correspondence. To access this patient's notification preferences, click Notifications.
9. Each of the sections on the Notifications page can be expanded, and the notification preference checked and reset as needed.
Note: The image below displays an example of notifications in a database with Curve GRO. Databases that do not have GRO, will not have any of the Curve GRO sections.
10. Click each of these, and verify the recipient(s) for the email and text (GRO offices only) are correct. Change any of the recipients as desired.
Note: The notification preferences on this page are applicable only to the active patient. The default notifications in Administration | Patient management | Patient notifications set the recipients for all the patients in the database, unless their Profile Notifications are set. The Profile Notifications always override the default settings.
12. Click the patient's name in the Sidekick.
13. The patient's family group displays. If there are any other family members (especially minors), click their name one by one to check the HOH, RP and notification settings are correct.
Note: In most cases, there should only be one RP for the family members. This assures they are all in the same account and will only receive one statement. Likewise, the family members that live together should all be under the same HOH.
14. In the active module, click General to return to the patient's Profile.
15. In the Alerts section, verify the Allergies, Conditions, and Medications are correct.
16. In some conversions, the medical alerts are converted as pop-up notes, so they must be added into the patient's Profile.
17. To add an allergy, click Add Allergy.
18. Start typing the allergy in the text bubble that appears. Select it when it displays.
19. As soon as it is selected, it is added the patient's alerts. A red flag appears in the Sidekick under the patient's name. The flag also displays in other areas, including the patient's appointments, the Snapshot report, the Charting menu, areas of Curve GRO, and Curve Mobile.
20. As needed, add Conditions and Medications the same way.
21. Once these are added, right click the note in the Sidekick, and click Edit Note.
22. Click the Tag(s).
23. In the tags list, click Pop-up to remove it from the note. Click outside the tags list to close it.
24. Click Save Note.
Note: If preferred, the note can be deleted instead of removing the Pop-up tag.
16. Verify everything else is correct in the Profile, and make any other corrections as needed.
