The following topics are covered in this guide:
- Section 1 - Understanding Note Tags
- Section 2 - Sorting and Viewing Notes
- Section 3 - Managing Converted Notes
Section 1 - Understanding Note Tags
- All the notes in Curve Hero are tagged by category so they can quickly be located and referenced. When the note is first created, or if it is open for editing, the tag is at the bottom left. There may be one or more tags per note.
2. Note tags can be changed, removed, or additional tags can be added. Click the tag(s) to do this. This brings up the tags list.
3. Click to unselect an existing tag, or click to select a different tag.
4. Click somewhere in the note body to close the list.
Note: Do not click outside the note body, or inside the tags list. Any clicks within the tags list will select or unselect a note tag. A click outside the note body (within the open module or the Sidekick) will bring up the options to Discard the note or Save Changes. Clicking Save Changes will close the note.
Section 2 - Sorting and Viewing Notes
5. When the note is saved, the note can be viewed in the Sidekick when the user is any of the modules that corresponds with any of the note tags. To view the module notes, click the Notes summary triangle.
6. All the notes that correspond to that module display.
7. Click a note to expand it and view it in full.
8. By default, only the notes with tags that correspond to the open module show in the Sidekick, the tags can be sorted so that any category can display. To sort the notes, click the note tag(s).
9. This opens the tags list. Click to select or unselect the desired tags.
10. When the desired tag(s) are selected, clicks somewhere within the open module to close the list.
11. The note tags are sorted by category so that only notes with a selected tag display in the Sidekick. This assures any note is available to view regardless of which module is open.
12. The notes can also be viewed by clicking Notes in the Sidekick.
13. This opens the Notes module. All the notes display by default, but these can be sorted by tag or category as well.
14. To filter or sort the notes, click All in the sentence at the top.
15. This brings up the tags list where tags can be sorted by category.
Note: The tags can show all the notes in the Sidekick as well. When the notes list displays, click All at the top of the list.
16. There are many notes in Curve that, when they are created, need to be attached to specific things within their module. Some examples are appointment notes, invoice notes, and clinical notes. These will be viewable in the module with the item to which they are attached. They will also be viewable in the Sidekick for sorting.
Section 3 - Managing Converted Notes
- All the converted notes will only be viewable in the Sidekick or in the Notes module. In many cases they will have the word Converted at the beginning.
2. In many cases, there will be a date after the word Converted. If the note displays this date, it is the actual date the note was created in the legacy software.
4. When a note is created or open for editing, it will have a date at the top. If it is a converted note, this date may not match the date beside the word Converted. When the dates do not match, the date at the top is the conversion date.
Note: All the notes that are created in Curve will also have a date at the top. This is the actual date the note was created. This is the default note date stamp, and it cannot be edited. It is how the notes are tracked in Curve.
5. All the converted notes should have at least one note tag. This will show at the bottom of the note when the note is open for editing.
Note: Not all users will have the permission to edit notes. If they do not, this action will not be enabled.
6. The note tag will show at the bottom of a note when it is clicked either in the Notes module, or in the Sidekick.
7. If the user has permission to edit notes for the note type (tag), they can open the note and change the note tag, add additional tags, or remove existing tags.
Note: Always make sure each note has at least one note tag. This allows it to be sorted by its tag, or to view it in the applicable module.
Additional Information
If the note does not have a create date on the original D.P.M.S. a date
of 1-1-1900 will be assigned to the note.
Notes will be tagged differently depending on where the note originates
(Procedure, Clinical, Medical, Profile)
If the note is not seen as being clinical, procedure, medical etc in
the original D.P.M.S. Curve may assign a Profile tag to these notes.
When the note is seen as a medical note it may be assigned the Pop-up
tag so this medical note will appear every time the patient's profile
is accessed in Curve Hero.
Existing notes with dates will be transferred with the date assigned
to the note.
