Description
This quick guide demonstrates how to handle converted recare to assure it is set up correctly to track patient scheduled status, keep recare reports accurate, and assure patients are receiving correct notifications from the Recare Campaign in Curve GRO.
About
Recare is fundamental to patient oral and overall health, and is an essential part of a healthy dental practice. This makes it very important to make sure it is set up correctly from the first day you go live. Recare in Curve Hero is entirely based on the recare tag. This refers to the patient's recare type in the Sidekick, as well as the recare tag in the appointment. These have to match for Curve to recognize if the patient is scheduled for their recare or not.

Section 1 - Attaching the Recare Tag to the Appointment
Recare tags must be set up correctly in the Sidekick and in the patient appointment. Start with the appointments on the current day. Click once on the first appointment in the hygiene operatory.
2. This makes that patient the active patient. Click the Recare summary triangle.
3. The patient's recare type displays. This needs to match the patient's recare appointment tag. Make sure the recare tag is the right type for this patient. If is not correct, click Section 3 and follow the steps to correct it.
4. Double click the patient's appointment to view the details.
5. In many cases, the appointment does not have a recare tag, or the recare tag may not match what's in the appointment. Click Add tag.
6. Click to select the correct recare tag from the dropdown list. Click outside the list to close it.
7. The recare tags were converted from the legacy software, and should already have the procedures added. When the appointment dropdown list is closed, the recare procedures populate into the appointment.
8. If the converted appointment already had procedures added, adding the tag will duplicate them.
Note: The recare tags should also have their frequency set, and have a color assigned.
9. Hover over each of the duplicated procedures, and click the trashcan that appears. This will delete them.
10. Converted appointments may have the procedures listed in the description line, or in an appointment note. Make sure the procedures in the appointment match the procedures that were added with the recare tag. If they do not, add or delete the appointment procedures so they reflect what is listed in the description line and/or note.
11. The listed procedures can be left as they are, or they can be deleted. To delete the description line, click it once, then hit Delete on the keyboard.
12. For offices that color their appointments by provider, it can be helpful to enter something in the description line as a visual to indicate the appointment has been checked over and is set up correctly. Type something such as, Done.
13. To delete the appointment note, right click it, and click Delete Note.
Note: This action will be disabled if the user does not have the permission to Edit/Delete note with Appointments tag.
14. Click Update appointment.
15. The appointment is saved. If the appointments are colored by type, it displays the color of the tag.
16. When the recare appointment is scheduled correctly, Recare will display green in the Sidekick.
17. Follow these steps for each recare patient on the current day's schedule, then proceed to the next day, and so forth. When recare appointments that have been scheduled correctly are checked out, the next due date generates. To reschedule it, click the recare tag.
18. Click the due date link.
19. The schedule changes to that date. Click the recare tag, and drag and drop it onto the schedule in the correct operatory, and time.
20. In this way, the recare system in Curve Hero runs smoothly and efficiently once the recare tags in the Sidekick and in the appointment are correct.
Section 2 - Adding the Sidekick Recare Tag

2. If the frequency, provider, or due date needs to be edited, click Edit.
3. Make the required changes, then click Save.
