This quick guide outlines the steps required to create, print, and export a Collection Summary report.
About
The Collection Summary report includes payments, overpayments, deposits, payment refunds, and credit refunds contained within a specified period of time.

Within the Sidekick, click the More menu, then click Reports in the drop-down list.

In the Select Report menu, click Financial Reports, then click Collection Summary.

The Collection Summary report window opens in a new tab.

- To choose the reporting date(s):

Click the Date field.

In the Select date dialog box, choose the appropriate date option, then click the Done button.
Note: When entering a date range, ensure the time period does not exceed 12 months.

- To select the Payment type(s):
-
Click the Payment type(s) drop-down menu.

Select the applicable payment type(s) and click Done.

- To select the Payment posted by options:

Click the Payment posted by drop-down menu.

Filter by Office posted, Patient posted, or System posted.
Note: Office posted includes user collections; Patient posted includes online portal payments; System posted includes automatic PPO postings.

- To select the Transaction type(s):
-
Click the Transaction type(s) drop-down menu.

Select the applicable transaction type(s) from the list.

- To select the Provider(s) of service:
-
Click the Provider(s) of service drop-down menu.

Select the applicable provider(s) and click Done.

- The report can include specific clinic data. To select the clinic(s):

Click the Clinic(s) drop-down menu.
Note: This menu only displays for multi-clinic practices.

Select the clinic(s) and click Done.

- The report can be filtered by Posted at clinic(s):

Click the Posted at clinic(s) drop-down menu.

Select the applicable clinic(s) and click Done.

- To include Profile tags:
-
Click the Profile tag(s) drop-down menu.
Note: Refer to Creating and Viewing Profile Tags for more info.

Select the desired tags and click Done.

- To select the applicable section(s) to display:

Click the Sections to display drop-down menu.

Select the sections and click Done.

To create the report, click the Run report button.

The report is displayed.

To print the report, click the Print button.

To convert the report into a CSV file, click the Export CSV button.
Note: Google Chrome may block pop-ups. Ensure pop-ups are allowed to export multiple CSV files.
