- Section 2 - Reordering by Date
- Section 3 - Grouping by Site
- Section 4 - Grouping by Line Item
- Section 5 - Grouping by Provider
Steps
Section 1 - Accessing Charting History
-
With the correct patient at the top of the Sidekick, click Charting to open the Charting module.

-
The Charting module can be set to Planning or History mode using the tabs to the left of the treatment plan cards. Click History.
Note: A new patient's chart will open in History mode by default.

-
The History box has five columns: Date, Site, Line Item, Provider, and Notes. These can be sorted to search different aspects of the patient's history.

Section 2 - Reordering by Date
-
The Date column indicates the date of service for invoiced procedures or those manually added (e.g., work done at another practice).

-
Click Date to sort the entries consecutively, either by the most recent or the oldest date first.

Section 3 - Grouping by Site
-
The Site column displays the tooth number associated with a procedure. Click Site to reorder history by tooth number.

-
This grouping makes it easy to see the chronological history of a specific tooth.

Section 4 - Grouping by Line Item
-
The Line Item column groups procedures by their specific procedure code. Click Line Item to reorder.

-
Once grouped by code, the date column serves as a reference for when each specific type of procedure was performed.

Section 5 - Grouping by Provider
-
Click Provider to group procedures by the clinician who performed the work.

-
The Notes column cannot be sorted, but it will display the note attached to any procedure regardless of how the other columns are reordered.
