Description
This quick guide demonstrates how to utilize more than one recare tag for a patient.
About
Recare tags are critical for recare reports and for viewing a patient's scheduled status in the Sidekick. They are also key to a Curve GRO Recare Campaign. Many offices prefer to use one recare tag per patient, but more than one can be used if it fits the patient or office needs.
The following topics are covered in this quick guide:
- Section 1 - Utilizing Multiple Recare Tags
- Section 2 - Multiple Recare Colors in the Sidekick
- Section 3 - Multiple Recare Tags in a Curve GRO Campaign
- Section 4 - Multiple Recare Tags on Reports
Steps
Section 1 - Utilizing Multiple Recare Tags
- One example of how multiple recare tags can be used is to track frequency for a panoramic x-ray or full mouth series.
Note: To learn how to create recare tags, see Understanding Recare Tags.
2. Multiple recare tags can be attached to a patient. With the correct patient at the top of the Sidekick, click the summary triangle beside Recare.
3. In the Recare section, click the plus sign.
4. Click the Recare Type field.
5. Click to select the applicable recare type for the active patient.
6. If no provider was attached to the recare type in Administration, click the Provider field, and select the correct provider.
7. Click Save.
8. The recare type is added to the Sidekick.
9. The appointment will also need the additional tag attached to track frequency accurately. Double-click the appointment to open it, then click the Recare tag to select the additional tag.
10. Click to select the additional recare tag.
Note: Do not click the original recare tag again, as this will remove it from the appointment.
11. The appointment now displays both tags. If the second recare tag has procedures attached, they will be added to the appointment.
12. Click Update Appointment to save it.
13. The appointment has been updated.
Note: If the office is coloring their appointments by Type, the color of the appointment is determined by the tag that is the highest in the list in Tags and Administration | Scheduling | Recare Tags.
14. The recare scheduled status is also updated.
Section 2 - Multiple Recare Colors in the Sidekick
- Recare status in the Sidekick is indicated by four colors:
- Black: Patient needs a recare type attached.
- Orange: Not scheduled, but not yet overdue. This color could also mean the appointment recare tag doesn't match the Sidekick recare tag.
- Red: Patient is overdue for recare. This color could also mean the appointment tag doesn't match the Sidekick recare tag.
- Green: Patient is scheduled and the tags match the appointment.
2. If multiple recare tags are used, the Sidekick Recare reflects the least scheduled status. For example, if one tag is scheduled but another is not scheduled or overdue, the word Recare will appear yellow, or red.
3. The recare scheduled status will still display in the Sidekick for all the recare tags. To see it, the Recare section must be expanded.
Each of the tags will have a color in front of the scheduled status description. This color will represent the scheduled status for the specific tag.
Section 3 - Multiple Recare Tags in a Curve GRO Campaign
The Recare Campaign sends notifications to patients not scheduled for their recare. Only include additional tags (like Pano) if you want patients to be notified specifically when that type is due or overdue.
Section 4 - Multiple Recare Tags on Reports
- In Reports, click Recare Reports.
2. Click Recare Due Due Date Report.
3. To filter the report by recare type, click the Recare Type(s) filter.
4. Click to select the box(es) beside any applicable tags to include on the report.
- Click Run Report. Only patients with the selected types will be displayed.
