About
The recare system in Curve Hero makes it easy to see at a glance if the active patient is scheduled for their recare appointment, if they are not scheduled, overdue for their appointment, or not set up to participate in the recare program at all. It is also easy to reschedule and track recare appointments. This is all dependent upon the patient's recare tag.

Section 1 - Setting up Recare Tags
-
Recare tags are created and edited in Administration. Click the More menu and select Administration.
-
On the left-side of the screen, select Scheduling.
-
Click Tags and Recare Types.
-
Any existing Recare tags will be displayed.
-
Additional Recare tags and Appointment tags can be added. Select the Add Tag button in the top right of this section.
-
Type in the Name of the Recare tag.
- Click the Type field.
-
Click Recare.
-
Click the Color field, and select the color for the recare tag. For offices that are coloring their appointments by type, this will determine the color of the appointment that has this tag added.
-
Add the Frequency to the Recare tag. This is how the next Recare Due Date is generated.
-
Select a Default Provider, if applicable, and the Default Units (amount of time) for this Recare tag.
-
Click Add Line Item.
-
Search for and select the first line item. Add all the line items that are typically done in this recare appointment. Click Add Another to continue the process.
-
When all the procedures have been added, click Add.
-
Click Save when all the recare details are correct.
Section 2 - Attaching Recare to a Patient
-
Patients in the Recare program need to have their Recare type attached. With the correct patient selected in the Sidekick, click the summary arrow to the left of Recare to expand it.
-
Click the Plus Button.
-
The Add Recare dialog box will open up. Select the type of Recare by clicking the Recare Type box.
-
Once the recare type has been selected, the other details will populate according to the setup in Adminstration. Any of these can be edited if needed, except the Recare Type name. Click Save.
-
The patient's Recare is now attached.
-
The color that the word Recare displays in the Sidekick indicates the patient's scheduled status. There are four different colors for Recare - Green, Orange, Red, and Black. Green indicates that the patient is scheduled for their Recare appointment.
-
Orange indicates the patient has their Recare type selected and assigned, but the appointment has not been scheduled.
-
Red indicates the patient is overdue for their Recare appointment.
-
Black indicates the patient does not have any Recare tags attached.
Section 3 - Recare Functions
-
The Recare tag in the patient's Sidekick can be pulled onto the Schedule to create a Recare Appointment.
-
When it is dropped onto the Schedule, the Appointment will be tagged with the patient's Recare Type.
-
If the Recare tags have procedures attached, the procedures will also populate into the Recare appointment.
-
When the patient's Recare appointment is checked out, the next Recare Due Date will generate in the Sidekick based on the Frequency of the Recare tag.
-
To quickly go to the new Due Date, click the arrow to the left of the Recare tag to expand the menu.
-
Click on the date to the right of Due Date to have the Scheduler automatically go to that date.
-
Click the Recare Tag in the Sidekick and drag to the appropriate time slot for that day.
-
Drop it onto the schedule, where it becomes the next recare appointment.
- This changes the color of the word Recare in the Sidekick to indicate it has now been scheduled.
