This quick guide outlines the steps required to create, print, and export a PPO Write-off Summary report.
About
The PPO Write-off Summary report contains detailed information and a summary of all PPO write-offs in a specified time period.
Important
The PPO Write-off Summary report only displays PPO write-offs that were applied as adjustment in the Billing module. PPO write-off estimates are not included in the report. PPO write-off estimates can however be viewed in the PPO Write-off Estimates Summary report (for more information, refer to the quick guide, Creating a PPO Write-off Estimate Summary Report).
Steps
Within the Sidekick, click the More menu, then click Reports in the drop-down list.

In the Select Report menu, click Financial Reports, then click PPO Write-off Summary.

The PPO Write-off Summary report window opens in a new tab.

To choose the reporting date(s) :
i. Click the Date filed.
Note: The Date filter will determine the date range from which the data will display. When the report is run, the report will display the Adjustment date, or the date the PPO Write-off was added in the Billing module.

ii. In the Select date dialog box, choose the appropriate date option, then click the Done button.

To select the provider(s) of service:
i. Click the Provider(s) of service drop-down menu
Note: A provider of service is a practitioner that performs dental services for a patient.

ii. Select the applicable provider(s) of service within the Active and Inactive columns, then click the Done button.

If required, the default dentist(s) can be selected as indicated below:
i. Click the Default dentist(s) drop-down menu.
Note: A default dentist is the dentist that is assigned to a patient within the patients profile.

ii. Select the applicable dentist(s) within the Active and Inactive columns, then click the Done button.

To select the insurance carrier(s)
i. Click the Insurance carrier(s) drop-down menu.

ii. In the Choose Insurance carrier(s) dialog box, the Filtered carriers section displays the filtered carriers that will display in the report. If no carriers have been filtered, then the report will include all carriers in the report and the Filtered carriers section will display the phrase Show all carriers.

iii. In the Carrier search field, enter insurance carrier.
Note: As data is entered into the Carrier search field, the Carrier search results section will automatically display all insurance carrier containing the entered search terms(s)

iv. In the carrier search results section, include a checkmark in the carrier checkbox(es)

v. The Filtered carriers section displays the selected carriers that will be included in the report.
Note: To clear all selected carriers included in the Filtered carriers list, click clear these filters.

vi. If required, continue searching and adding all applicable carriers to include in the report. After all carriers have been selected, click the Done button.

To select the insurance plan(s) :
i. Click the Insurance plan(s) drop-down menu.

ii. In the Choose insurance plan(s) dialog box, the Filtered plan section displays the filtered plans that will display in the report. If no plans have been filtered, then the report will include all plans in the report and the Filtered plans section will display the phrase Show all plans.

iii. In the Plan search field, enter the Insurance plan.
Note: As data is entered into the Plan search field, the Plan search results section will automatically display all plan carriers containing the entered search term(s)

iv. In the Plan search results section, include a Checkmark in the applicable plan checkbox(es)

v. The Filtered plans section displays the selected plans that will be included in the report.
Note: To clear all selected plans included in the Filtered plans list, click clear these filters.

vi. If required, continue searching and adding all applicable plans to include in the report. After all plans have been selected, click the Done button.

The report can include the clinic(s) where the PPO write-off(s) were created. To select clinic(s) :
i. Click the Clinic(s) drop down menu
Note: If a practice has only ever had one clinic, the clinic(s) drop-down menu will not display.

ii. Select the applicable Clinic(s) within the Active and Inactive columns, then click the Done button.

To select which profile tag(s) should be included in the report:
i. Click the Profile tag(s) drop-down menu.
Note: For additional information about profile tags, refer to the quick guide, Creating, Adding, and Viewing Profile Tags.

ii. Select the applicable Profile tag(s) within the Active and Inactive columns, then click Done button.

There are three sections that can be included within the report. To select the applicable section(s) :
i. Click the Sections to display drop-down menu.

ii. In the drop-down list, select the applicable Section(s) to display in the report

To create the PPO Write-off Summary report, click the Run report button.

The report is displaying

To print the report, click the Print button.

To converted the report into CSV file, click the Export CSV button.
