Description:
This quick guide demonstrates how to add or update a user password and the process of logging back into Curve Hero once the password is changed.
About:
A user password is added when a new user is added into Curve Hero. The user's password should be unique to each user as a security measure. Sometimes existing passwords need to be changed. Some examples may include a change of password due to a user forgetting theirs. An administrator can force a password change as needed. In a converted database, all users will need to reset their passwords when they go live.
Steps:
- User passwords are set in Administration. Click the More menu, then Administration.

- In the Administration menu, click User management, then User Directory.

- When a user is first entered into the database, they must set a password to be able to access Curve Hero. When the user is added, the user profile page opens.
Note: Click Adding a User to learn how to add a new user.

- Click Add password in the user information section of the page.

- The Add password dialog box opens. Type a password in the New password field following the required password provisions listed on the left.

- Type the password again in the Verify password field. When finished, click Add password.
Note: This initial password is temporary. The user will be prompted to change their password at their first login.

- The user profile updates with the password added. The user information section now displays a Change Password button.

- When the user logs in, they will enter their user name and password in the applicable fields, then they will click Log in.

- The Reset password dialog box opens. This indicates their password has been reset by their administrator and they must create a new one.

- The user will type their New password in the applicable field, and again in the Confirm password field.

- They will click Reset password.

- The window changes to verify the password has been successfully changed. They will click Ok.
Note: If a Save password pop up appears, it is not recommended to save Curve Hero passwords in the browser.

- The user can now log in to Curve Hero using their username and password.
