Description:
Here are the basic elements of the Perio charting module.
Steps:
- Active Patient - This section displays the name of the active patient. If the patient profile has an image set up, that is also displayed.
- ‘New exam’ and ‘Use previous data’ buttons - There are two main ways to start a perio exam:
- To start with a blank exam, click ‘New exam’.
- To start with duplicated data from the last exam created, click ‘Use previous data’.
- Provider - The provider area allows users to select which provider (dentist or hygienist) is associated with the perio exam.
- Exam Date - The exam date displays the date of the selected exam. When a new exam is created, it will be automatically set to the current day, but this can be modified, if necessary.
- Previous perio exams - The Previous perio exams drop-down menu is used to pick previous exams to view/edit. Exams are shown by the date they were created.
- Tooth Site Selection area - The active tooth site can be advanced and retreated in this area. Jumping to a specific available site is also possible here via the graphical site selector drop-down menu.
- Tooth Action Area - Data updates and changes are done per site in the Tooth Action Area.
- Action button area - This area contains the Print exam, Add exam note, Finish exam, and marquee visibility buttons.
- Marquee - The marquee highlights the active site in the table mode. Visibility of the marquee can be turned on and off.
- Midline indicator - When charting, the midline is a useful reference point.
- Tooth note indicator - When a Note is added to a tooth, the tooth note indicator is shown.
- Active field - The active field is displayed as light blue in the table. This is visible if the marquee is visible or hidden.
- Perio settings button - User perio exam settings are available from this button.
- Legend button - The legend button allows users to view a legend dialog.
- Perio table - The perio table is the area of the interface that displays the perio exam data.
