Description
This quick guide outlines the steps required to edit a layout.
Steps

In the Appointments module, click the Layouts menu.

In the Layouts drop-down menu, hover over the layout that requires editing, then click the Edit and make active icon.
Note: A default layout cannot be edited. If updates are required, the default layout must be copied first. For more information, see: Default Layouts.

In the Edit Layout dialog box, the following options are available:
- Add or remove operatories from a layout (sort by clicking column headers).
- Specify the day(s) and hours an operatory is available.
Note: All operatory updates are instantly displayed in the background within the Scheduler.

Add operatories to your layout using one of the methods below:
To add one operatory:
- Double-click the operatory in the Choose operatories table, OR
- Select the operatory and click the ⯈ button.
To add multiple operatories:
- Hold Ctrl (Command for Mac), select the operatories, and click the ⯈ button.
To add all operatories:
- Click the All ⯈ button.

Remove operatories from your layout using one of the methods below:
To remove one operatory:
- Double-click the operatory in the Selected operatories table, OR
- Select the operatory and click the ⯇ button.
To remove multiple operatories:
- Hold Ctrl (Command for Mac), select the operatories, and click the ⯇ button.
To remove all operatories:
- Click the ⯇ All button.

To rearrange the order, drag and drop an operatory within the Selected operatories table to reposition it.

To create a default layout for a specific day, select the day from the Select a day of the week drop-down menu.
Note: Only one layout can be reserved as the default for each day of the week.
- To update the visible timeframe, select the hours from the Select hours drop-down menu.

To exit the dialog box, click Done.
Note: After closing, the updated layout automatically becomes the active view in your Scheduler.
