Description
This quick guide outlines the steps required to add a new procedure code.
- In the Sidekick, click the More menu, then click Administration within the drop-down list.
- In the Administration menu, within the Procedures drop-down list, click Procedures.
- In the Procedure Admin module, click the Search button.
- Click the Add Procedure button.
- After a few seconds, the procedures list will add a new row with the name New Procedure.
- Click New Procedure.
- Enter the name of the procedure code.
- Click the Description field, then enter a description for the procedure code.
- Click the Type field, then click the Type drop-down menu.
- In the Type drop-down list, select the procedure code type.
- Click the Category field, then click the Category drop-down menu.
- In the Category drop-down list, select the dental category for the procedure code.
- Click the Length field, then enter the number of units the procedure code will be scheduled for.
- Click the Insurance Code field, then enter the insurance code for the procedure code.
- Scroll right to display additional columns.
- If required, complete the remaining fields for the procedure code.
- To search for the new procedure code in the procedures list, enter the name of the procedure code in the Search field.
Note: The procedure code must be entered in
the format "X#### - Procedure Code Name". If
additional spaces are added to the procedure code, the information
will not display correctly in Curve Hero. For more information,

Note: If the appointment unit length for the
Scheduler is set to 10 minute increments and the procedure length
is 40 minutes (for example), enter 4 in the
Length field. For more information, refer to the quick

Note: In order for the procedure code to display
on a claim form and fee guide, the procedure code must be associated
with a valid insurance code. If the new procedure code should
not display on claim forms and is not a valid ADA or CDA code,
the Insurance Code field should remain blank.
