This quick guide demonstrates an overview of the Files and Letters module and demonstrates how to utilize it for storing digital documents.

Steps
Section 1 - Accessing and Layout

With the correct patient at the top of the Sidekick, click Files and Letters.

The Files and Letters module opens. If default folders have been created, they will display in the main area.
Note: Refer to the guide on Creating Default Folders to learn how to set these up in Administration.

Double click any folder to open it and view the digital files inside.

On the left is the menu where the folders and additional options can be navigated.

Archived is at the bottom of the menu. It is a holding place for old or discarded documents.
Note: There is no way to delete a document; use Archive for documents no longer needed.

Section 2 - Uploading Files

Click the New button and select File upload.

Drag and drop the file into the designated box, or click Select files to browse your computer.
Note: To select multiple files, hold Shift (Windows) or Command (Mac) while selecting.

Once the files have completed uploading, click Done. Drag and drop the files onto the appropriate folder to keep them organized.
Note: Maximum file size is 20MB.
Section 3 - File Menu

Click the More Options menu on any file to Download, Rename, view Properties, or Archive.

To unarchive a file, go to the Archived folder, click the More Options menu, and select Unarchive.

Section 4 - Create Folder

In the New button options, click Create folder. Name the folder and click OK.
