This guide will provide users with a fundamental understanding of how to utilize and access helpful patient information within the Mobile Patient Profile section, such as medical alerts, contact information, images, and appointment notes. Section 1 - Accessing Patient Profiles
- From the appointment book home screen view, tap the menu icon in the upper left corner.
- A menu page will appear. Tap Patients.
- A Find Patient page will appear. Tap inside the Find Patient search bar.
- Type in desired patient’s name inside the search bar.
- Tap on patient's name once it pops up.
- Patient's profile will open.
Section 2 - Accessing LiveText from Patient Profile
- To LiveText a patient from within their Patient Profile, tap the Text icon at the top of their profile page.
- A text message conversation and messaging screen with that patient will appear. This is where a user will communicate with a patient via text message through the dental clinic a user is logged in under. Section 3 - Adding an Appointment Note from Patient Profile
- In the Patient Profile, tap Add Note at the top of the profile page.
- A Create Note page will open.
- To begin typing a note, tap inside the Note Text box.
- Once the note has been entered, tap Done.
- To add a tag to the note, tap inside the Add Tags box.
- A list of suggested tags to choose from will appear.
- If the correct tag is displayed, tap the tag to add to appointment.
- The added tag will look like this:
- A user can add an additional tag by tapping again in the tag box, where it says click to add.
- If the desired tag is not included in the pop-up tag suggestion box, a user can type in a desired tag name, such as Insurance, and an Insurance tag will appear to select.
- When all desired tags have been added, a user can choose to lock a note by tapping Lock Note. This will lock the note so that future edits cannot be made.
- A user can also choose to tap Family Note to add this patient’s note to the profiles of other family members their patient account is associated with.
- When all note selections have been made, click Save to save the note.
- All notes added from the Patient Profile will appear under the Notes section on the Patient Profile page for a user to easily view. See Section 7 of this article for further guidance on adding and viewing patient notes.
Section 4 - Creating an Appointment from Patient Profile
- To create an appointment from the Patient Profile, tap the Create icon.
- A Create Appointment page will open, where a user will need to fill in the provided prompt fields in order to create an appointment block for a patient.
- First, tap in the required Provider field.
- A list of providers will appear (dentists and hygienists) that a user can scroll through. Tap the desired provider for the appointment.
- Verify that the patient name is correct.
- Tap inside the Clinic field to select the correct clinic a user would like to schedule the appointment at.
- A dropdown list of clinics to choose from will appear. Tap on the preferred clinic.
- Next, tap inside the Operatory field.
- A dropdown of operatories to choose from will appear. Tap the correct operatory that is associated with the chosen provider.
- Next, tap inside the Date field.
- A calendar pop up will appear. Tap the desired date for the appointment block to be scheduled on.
- Next, tap inside the Start Time field.
- A time selection pop up will appear. Scroll up or down on the hour and minute and AM or PM sections to select the desired start time for the appointment block.
- Then tap Done.
- Next, tap inside the End Time field.
- A time selection pop up will appear. Scroll up or down on the hour and minute and AM or PM sections to select the desired end time for the appointment block.
- Then tap Done.
- Next, if a user chooses to add an appointment description, they may tap in the Appointment Description box. This is not a required action to schedule an appointment block.
- Type in a brief description of the appointment.
- Then tap Create.
- The appointment will now appear in the Recent Activity section of the Patient Profile.
Section 5 - Viewing Recent Activity and Patient Images/Radiographs
- To view recent patient activity, tap the Recent Activity tab inside the Patient Profile page.
- The recent activity tab will open to an expanded view of recent patient activity, such as last appointment, next appointment, recent appointment notes, and images/radiographs.
- To view details of a last appointment, tap the blue underlined Last Appointment.
- A popup of details of the last appointment will appear.
- To view details of a patient’s next appointment, tap the blue Next Appointment.
- A popup of next appointment details will appear.
- To view patient images or radiographs, tap the blue Image section under Recent Activity.
- A patient’s images or radiographs will appear, with an option at the bottom of the screen to tap either forward or back to view any additional images.
Section 6 - Viewing Patient Alerts
- To view patient Alerts, tap the Alerts section in the Patient Profile.
- A dropdown of Alerts will appear, where a user can view a patient’s Alerts for the following: Allergies, Conditions, Medications, Profile Tags, and Custom Fields.
Section 7 - Viewing and Adding Appointment Notes
- To view existing patient notes in the Patient Profile, tap the Notes section.
- A dropdown of existing patient notes will appear, up to the first five notes.
- To view a specific note, tap desired note.
- A Note Preview pop up will appear that will display the note details.
- To view the note properties, tap the dropdown arrow next to Properties.
- The note properties will display helpful information such as when the note was created, who it was created by, the clinic it was created within, and when the note was last modified.
- A user can also view all notes associated with a patient by tapping View All Notes.
- View All Notes will show all existing notes for that patient.
- A user can also add a new note from this page by tapping the Add Note icon in the lower right corner.
Section 8 - Viewing Contact and Household Information
- To view contact information, tap the Contact Information tab inside the Patient Profile.
- A dropdown of the patient’s contact information will appear.
- To view household information, tap the Household Information tab in the Patient Profile. If there is any household information existing for that patient, a dropdown will appear containing household information.
