Description
This guide demonstrates the steps to verify the converted data in your Curve Hero database. Compare the areas of Curve Hero to your legacy software to make sure it accurately matches. The more diligently you inspect your converted data, the cleaner we can make your conversion.
When verifying each of these areas, go through the data for 5-10 patients. More is better than less since you will get a better overall feel of the data accuracy.
Important: If you find any discrepancies, make detailed notes (i.e. the patient’s name, the module, and the specific data point that is not correct), and discuss these with your project manager.

2. Verify several of the appointments. Make sure they are for the correct patient, and the correct date and time.
3. Double click an appointment to view the details.
4. The procedures may be in three different areas. Some conversions have the procedures in two or even three of these areas.
a. The Description line may list the procedure code(s), the site, surfaces, and material (as applicable).
b. The procedures may be attached to the appointment in the Procedures section. These may show the procedure details, the provider, and the fees.
c. The procedures may be listed in the Notes section, and will include all of the procedure details, including the procedure code, site, surfaces, and material (as applicable).
5. Verify the procedures, the provider and the total fees.
Note: The procedures do not need to be in all three of these areas, but should be in at least one of these areas.
6. Click the Appointments summary triangle in the Sidekick. Verify the dates of the patient's future appointments.
7. The default Appointments filter is Future Appointments. If the patient has future appointments, they will display. Click the date for a future appointment.
Note: If the active patient does not have future appointments, switch to someone who does.
8. This changes the schedule to that date. Locate the appointment on the schedule, and double click to open it. Verify all the information within it.
9. In the Sidekick, change the Appointments filter to Past Appointments. Repeat Step 6. and 7. to verify at least one of the past appointments.
Section 2 - Profile Information
- In the Sidekick, click Profile.
2. Verify the information in each of the sections in the patient’s Profile as follows:
a. Personal information: Patient's name, date of birth, and age.
b. Contact Details: Patient's mobile phone number, email address, and mailing address.

Section 3 - Clinical Information
Note: This section requires a patient with an existing treatment plan, and past appointments, or procedures that have been checked out on previous dates.
- In your legacy software, find a patient with an existing treatment plan, and open their chart. In Curve, make them the active patient, then click Charting in the Sidekick.
2. In the Charting module, verify the procedures in their treatment plan.
3. Verify the treatment is in separate visits according to their chart in the legacy software. Make sure each procedure is correct, including the site, surfaces, and material (as applicable).
4. Click the History tab above the Charting menu.
5. Verify all the details in the Charting History box.

2. Verify the Plan Name, and Carrier Name.
3. Click Policy Details.
4. Verify all of the policy information is correct.
Section 5 - Accounts Receivable
Important Note: You will or have already discussed the options to either convert your balances or not convert your balances with your project manager, and you have decided NOT to convert them, skip to Section 7.

2. In the Reports menu, click Financial Reports.
3. Click Responsible Party Aging
4. Check the aging bracket totals, (i.e. Pat. Past 30 Days, Pat. 31-60 Days, Pat. 61-90 Days, Pat. Over 90). Match these to these totals in your legacy software.
5. Locate the Total Owing column, and the Credit column. To find the total A/R, or accounts receivable, subtract the Credit total from the Total Owing. This value should match the A/R total in your legacy software.
Section 6 - Billing Information
Note: This section requires the patient accounts to be verified to have a balance, or at least one outstanding invoice. If you have begun your training, do not use any patient you have used during your training sessions.
- In the Sidekick, click Billing.
2. Verify the aging balances for the Past 30 Days, 31-60 Days, 61-90, Over 90 and the Total.

- Click Imaging in the Sidekick.
2. The Imaging module opens. It will be empty since images do not convert directly. They can be transferred into Curve, and this is done as a separate transfer. Discuss this with your project manager so you can understand the time frame for image availability.
- Click Perio Charting in the Sidekick.
2. The Perio Charting module opens. It will be empty for all patients since the perio charts do not directly transfer into Curve Hero. Discuss this with your project manager so you can understand the options for your perio charts.
Section 11 - Files and Letters
- Click Files and Letters in the Sidekick.
2. The Files and Letters module opens. It will be empty since all the documents from the legacy software will not convert directly into Curve. They can be transferred into Curve, and this is done as a separate transfer. Discuss this with your project manager so you can understand the time frame for your documents.
