This quick guide outlines how to reset the insurance calculation on a treatment plan or invoice back to how it would be without any manual changes made to it.

Steps
Section 1 - Resetting Insurance in the Charting Module

In the Sidekick, click Charting.

In the Charting module, the treatment plan includes the current insurance estimate(s).

To begin the process of resetting the insurance estimate(s), right-click the applicable Treatment Plan tab, then click Reset Insurance in the drop-down list.
Note: If no updates have been made to the insurance estimate(s), the Reset Insurance option within the drop-down list will be greyed out and cannot be selected.

In the Reset Insurance? dialog box, review the displayed message.

After reviewing the message, click the Yes button to reset the insurance estimate(s).

the insurance estimate(s) will reset to their original amount and will display in the treatment plan.

Section 2 - Resetting Insurance in the Billing Module

In the Sidekick, click Billing

In the Billing module, each invoice includes the current insurance estimate(s).

To begin the process of resetting the insurance estimate(s), perform one of the following options:

Right-click the applicable Invoice, then click Reset Insurance in the drop-down list.

Within the applicable invoice line item, click the More Options menu, then in the drop-down list, click Reset Insurance.
Note: If no updates have been made to the insurance estimate(s), the Reset Insurance option within the drop-down list will be greyed out and cannot be selected.

In the Reset Insurance? dialog box, review the displayed message.

After reviewing the message, click the Yes button to reset the insurance estimate(s).

the insurance estimate(s) will reset to their original amount and will display in the invoice.
