This quick guide provides instruction for the final setup when converting into curve.

Steps
Section 1 - Initial Setup
As soon as the Curve Hero Database is ready after Conversion, your Implementation Coordinator (IC) will have a call set up to go through the initial setup with the Administrator.
Section 1A - Finalizing your Data Conversion Document
- Complete the document "Finalizing your Data Conversion" and email a signed copy of the document implementation@curvedental.com, or fax a signed copy of the document to 801-805-5175.
Section 1B - User Access
- Ensure that a Username and Password are assigned to each User Account. For more information regarding how to add a Username, refer to the quick guide Adding a User in the User Directory Module.
[Image of a user profile with the username and add password sections outlined] - Verify that the working hours for each user are entered, especially for all Dentists and Hygienists. This will ensure no issues occur when an Appointment is created in the Scheduler. For more information regarding how to update working hours, refer to the quick guide Updating a User's Working Hours, Hours of Access, and Time Off.

Section 1C - Verifying A/R
- The Accounts Receivable (AR) will also need to be verified after the office goes live in Curve Hero, depending on whether or not the office has decided to convert their outstanding balances. This is typically done with the Implementation Coordinator.
Section 1D - Verify Provider Claim Information
- In User Directory, verify the Claim Information in the Dentist's Profile to make sure everything is correct.

Section 2 - Administration
The Implementation Coordinator will verify some of the information in Administration, but there are areas that need to be updated by the office after Conversion.
Section 2A - Practice Setup
- If applicable, upload the Practice and Clinic logos and photos. Even if these were uploaded during the training sessions, they will need to be uploaded again following the final Conversion. Section 2B - Tags and Recare Types
- In Tags and Recare Types under Scheduling, add any additional Appointment Tags and Recare Types as needed. For more information regarding how to add Appointment Tags and Recare Types, refer to the quick guide Adding an Appointment Tag or Recare Type.

Section 2C - Charting Shortcuts
- Set up Charting Shortcuts. For more information regarding how to create Charting Shortcuts, refer to the quick guide Creating and Updating Charting Shortcuts.

Section 2D - Insurance Management - US Offices Only
- In Insurance Management, click Insurance Carrier Management. Verify that the Carrier IDs have converted.

[Image of the list of Carriers with the edit button outlined] - This opens the Carrier Information. Click Check Carrier. This is a link to DentalXChange where the Carrier names and Carrier IDs can be searched and verified.
Section 3 - Scheduler
There are a few things to make sure are set up correctly on the Scheduler as soon as the Office goes live in Curve Hero.
Section 3A - Schedule Layouts
- Verify Schedule Layouts and make changes to the Default Layout as needed.

Section 3B - Tag Recare Appointments
- When possible, tag all Converted Recare Appointments with the appropriate Recare Types. Although this does not need to be completed all at once, it is recommended to complete this task prior to each Patient's Appointment until all Converted Recare Appointments are tagged. Section 3C - Adding Procedures to Appointments
- Attach Procedure Codes to the existing Appointments. For more information, refer to the quick guide Adding a Procedure to an Existing Appointment.
Section 4 - Entering Conversion Data
Enter any data into Curve Hero that was not part of the final data conversion, i.e., anything that was added or changed during the three days between the final data pull and the office Go-Live Day.
Section 4A - Entering Appointments
- Add any new Appointments and make any Appointment edits that occurred during the three days between the final data pull and going live.
Section 4B - Adding Patient Information
- Make any Patient Profile edits and add additional New Patients as applicable. Refer to the quick guide Completing the Patient Profile to learn more.
Section 4C - Billing Conversion Data
All Procedures that were completed during the three conversion day swill need to be added on an Invoice, and any Payments or other transactions will need to be posted to the applicable Invoice.
Section 4C 1.1 - Adding Completed Transactions
- In Billing, add any Invoices and attach the Procedures that were completed during the three conversion days. Backdate the Invoices and transactions to keep the Account accurate.
Section 4F 1.2 - Adding Completed Transactions
- Add all Conversion Payments, Adjustments, or other applicable transactions. Backdate these as applicable
Section 4D - Treatment Plans and Clinical Notes
Any Procedures or Treatment Plans that were Diagnosed during the three days after final data pull and going live will need to be entered manually.
- In Charting, in Planning mode, add any diagnosed procedures to the Patient's Treatment Plan Card. This is specific to any that were edited or entered during the three conversion days.

Section 5 - Insurance
All coverage and deductibles on Insurance Plans will convert in a chosen template, so they will all be the same. These will need to be updated for accuracy as the Office moves through the scheduled days after going live in Curve Hero.
- Confirm that the Insurance Plans contain the correct coverage details. This is an ongoing process and cannot be done all at once. For more information regarding how to update the Coverage details for an Insurance Plan, refer to either of the following quick guides:

Section 6 - Third Party Integrations
Set up all Third-Party Integrations as applicable.
Section 6A - Global Payments
- Global Payments is an integrated card service that allows payments to post directly into the Patient's account. It can also save a card on an account for future use, and allows for click to pay Payment Request. To learn more, refer to the quick guides Global Payments US or Global Payments CAN.

Section 6B - Other Third Party Partners
- Some, but not all of the Third Party Integrations are listed below. Click US Partner Products for a more complete list of US Partner Options. Click CAN Partner Options for a more complete list of Canadian Partner Options.
Section 6C - Open Orange API Services
- Open Orange Add-on Services are additional services that can be integrated into Curve Hero with API, or Advanced Programming Interface. If the office is utilizing API services, they will need to contact that company to get an API sent to Curve Hero. Once that has been set up, the Office will be directed to set up Open Orange services.

Section 7 - Note and Form Templates
Note Templates expedite the note taking process, and Form Templates can be used for Patients to fill out Forms online.
Section 7A - Note Templates
- Create all applicable Note Templates. For more information regarding how to create a Note Template, refer to the quick guide Links to Articles and Videos for Creating Specific Note Templates.
Section 7B - Form Templates
- Create all applicable Form Templates. For more information regarding how to create a Form Template, refer to the quick guide Creating an Online Form.
