This quick guide provides an overview on the Perio Charting module, and the different conditions that can be added.
About
Perio Charting can be preformed withing the Graphical view and Table view. The default mode is the Graphical view.

The Perio Charting module can chart the following periodontal condition:
1. Pocket Depth (PD): PD (aka probing depth) can be charting at three surface points on each side of the tooth. Pocket depth measurements can range from -19mm to +19mm. The default alert value is -4mm/+1mm

2. Gingival Margin (GM): GM can be charted at three surface points on each side of the tooth. Measurements can range from -19mm to +19mm. The default alert value is -4mm/+1mm. Positive values for GM represent gingival inflammation or gingival overgrowth and are always displayed as alert values.

3. Clinical Attachment Level (CAL): In Curve Hero, CAL is calculated as the sum of the Pocket Depth and Gingival Margin, CAL is not manually entered. The default alert value is -4mm/+1mm.

4. Bleeding: Bleeding (aka Blood on Probe), can be entered on each of the three surfaces areas of the tooth sites. The keyboard shortcut for bleeding is B. Charting bleeding is an optional setting and can be configured in the Perio settings.

5. Calculus: Calculus can be entered on each of the three surface areas of the tooth site. The keyboard shortcut for calculus is C. Charting calculus is an option setting and can be configured in Perio settings.

6. Plaque: Plaque can be charted on each of the three surface areas of the tooth site. The keyboard shortcut for plaque is Q. Charting plaque is an option setting and can be configured in Perio settings.

7. Suppuration: Suppuration can be charted on each of the three sruface areas of the tooth site. The keyboard shortcut for Suppuration is S. Charting Suppuration is an option setting and can be configured in Perio settings.

8. Furcation: Furcation can be charted on each root juncture for multi-root teeth. The keyboard shortcut for furcation is F. American furcation grades are 0, 1, 2, and 3 while Canadian furcation grades are I, II, III, and IV. Charting Furcation is an option setting and can be configured in Perio settings.

9. Mobility: Mobility can be charted on each tooth. The keyboard shortcut for mobility is M. Mobility grades in Perio charting are I, II, and III. Charting Mobility is an option setting and can be configured in Perio settings.
