Description
What happens when the office regrets their choice of database name?
Background
Sometimes When An Office regrets their choice of database name, they call us. Here is how we get that taken care of.
Steps to Follow
- Firstly Customer Service needs to make sure that we gather the right information.
- Why is the database name being changed? If it needs to be changed due to a change of ownership, please see the Service Guide 'Database Name Change Request - New Owner'.
- What are they wanting to change the name to?
- Is there a certain day that works best? A certain time? Most offices will be fine with an overnight change regardless of day, or simply over the weekend. Remind the office that if they attempt to log in after the time specified and are unable, to try the new database name before contacting support.
- We need to get a letter, signed by the doctor, indicating the change as detailed by the information above, sent to support@curvedental.com.
- The letter should then be attached to the ticket created in Kayako by Customer Service.
- Email Kristen Smith (kristen.smith@curvedental.com) a copy of the letter, with the client id and the words 'Database Name Change Request' in the subject of the email. Be sure to include in the body of the email any of the preferred time frames (or that there is no preference) for the office, as well as the desired change.
- A Task will be assigned to Gary Burke by Kristen Smith, to have the database changed. In the Notes for the task, the information will be included that was sent to her. The Name should be Database Name Change, the Notes should include the current database URL, the new database URL and time of day (and specific date if applicable) that the change can be made.
- Gary Burke will email Kristen Smith to indicate when the desired changes have been completed successfully.
- Kristen Smith will forward the email on to the appropriate Customer Service Representative.
- The Customer Service Representative will contact the office to indicate that their database has been successfully changed and to ensure that there are no issues logging in.
