Additional Information
Previously when capturing images, not only did you have to wait for your sensor to be ready, but you had to wait for the image to upload. Depending on your internet speed, and the size of the file, this may have become inconvenient. Now, when an image is captured, it temporarily saves locally until it can be uploaded. This allows you to capture as many images as needed, and allow them to upload in the background! Lets take a look at what this means.
- When you capture images into a mount, the image will appear in the mount slot, and will show an icon in the top left of the image. This icon will disappear once the image has uploaded fully to the cloud. However, in the meantime, you will be able to see this image immediately, instead of having to wait for it to upload!
- Since the image has not uploaded to the cloud yet, but is still on your local machine, please note that you cannot edit the file, and others cannot view it on other machines, until the upload has completed.
- Until the image has uploaded however, other users on Curve Hero, will know that images are being taken in real time!
- As the images are being taken, and uploaded, other computers looking at the same mount will see the following:
- If for some reason, your internet dies while capturing the image. Curve will attempt 3 times to upload the image to the cloud. If your internet service does not restore due to an outage etc, and the image fails to upload, you will see an image like this:
- If you see this message, good news! Curve Customer Service can help you to find the image locally once internet service resumes, and upload it safely to the cloud. They can be reached at (888) 910-4376 opt 3.
- If you find yourself needing to print the mount, despite the missing image, never fear! You will not see an unsightly Upload failed message in your mount. You will, when attempting to print the mount, see the following:
- In place of the Upload failed message, you will instead simply see a blank slot in the mount.
