Description
HIP stands for Hero Instance Portal and can be used for viewing and managing instances and modules of curvehero. This article provides a high level overview of the features contained within the HIP.
Background
The portal can be reached with one of the following urls:
- hip.curvehero.com
- curve.curvehero.com/hip
Steps to Follow
Upon logging in, you'll notice your email address in the top-right. Clicking on that will give the following options:

- permission - enable/disable imaging, twain, unlock curve user, view instance data
- instance task manager - create new instances, etc
- canada claim keys - instances with certificates about to expire
- provider statistic - active/inactive instances and dentists, active users, patients, etc
- storage used - by instance. See Service Guide 'How to find out how much data an office is storing in curve for Files and Letters and Imaging'.
- audit log - @curvedental.com users, modules toggled, time of event
- Login Message - announcements, outages, etc for end users
- Logout
Searching by instance name will pull up all results that contain that name. Click on the particular instance you want to view or manage.

A new tab will open for the instance you've chosen. In the top left, you'll notice a hamburger menu.

The hamburger menu contains the following two options:
- Unlock curve user - When the curve superuser becomes locked. See Service Guide 'Unlocking The Curve (or Super) User Through Hip'.
- Rcopia User - lists all instance usernames, and their status in Rcopia. See Service Guide in Community 'Verifying Rcopia Readiness of an Office'.
Below the instance name and hamburger menu, you'll see on which database the instance resides, the locale of the office(s), the timezone, the status, the Curve Capture version, and their DMA status. DMA is the third party e-statements vendor.

What follows are six major sections that let you view (or toggle, if you have permission) the various modules within the instance.

Fee Guide Permissions
Some provinces and dental associations require membership in order for Curve to provide dentists with fee guides. See Service Guide 'Fee Guide Restrictions'.
- ODA (Ontario)
- ACDQ (Quebec)
- DAC (Denturist)
Electronic Claims
- Change Healthcare (Emdeon)
- Eligibility Name
Modules
These include all of curve's modules which can be toggled on or off, such as Imaging, Bridging, etc.
The modules that Customer Service have permission to toggle are Imaging Processing and Twain.
Purchased Numbers
This displays the phone number used in Connex to text patients.
API Consumers
A checkmark will show next to any of these 3rd parties which have access to Curve's API for appointment reminders and other forms of patient communication.

Canada Claim Keys (If Canadian instance)
Provides an interface to renew an expired iTrans certificate.

Displays the status and details of eprescribe for this instance.

- Vendor Password
