Description
This internal service guide outlines the steps required to create an attachment ID using the Change Healthcare SimpleAttach service as well as submitting a claim in Curve Hero using the attachment ID.
After an attachment has been uploaded and submitted through the Change Healthcare SimpleAttach service, an attachment ID is created. This attachment ID can be entered into Curve Hero to submit a claim.
Note
In order to create an attachment ID using the Change Healthcare SimpleAttach service, the user must have a registered account on the Change Healthcare Dental Connect Network. Section I - Creating an Attachment ID using the Change Healthcare SimpleAttach Service
- Log in to the Change Healthcare Dental Connect website.

In the Navigation menu, click the SimpleAttach drop-down menu, then click Submit Attachment.

The Submit Attachment section is displayed.

To select the payer that will receive the attachment, click the Select Payer drop-down menu.

The payer can be selected by searching or scrolling.

Select the provider's Tax Id from the drop-down list.

In the Insured ID field, enter the provider's Insured ID.

In the NPI field, enter the provider's National Provider Identifier.

Enter the patient's First Name, Last Name, and Date of Service.

In the Claim Control Number field, enter the number assigned by the provider.

In the Total Charge Amount field, enter the total charge amount of the claim and click NEXT.

Click the Upload attachment files icon. In the dialog box, select the Attachment Type.
Note: Supported types include PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC, and more.

Enter the Image Date, Orientation Type, and any Comments, then click NEXT.

Upload files by dragging them or choosing from the hard drive. Click Upload or Upload All.

Click SUBMIT. In the confirmation dialog, click YES.

Click COPY ID & CLOSE to copy the attachment ID.

Section II - Sending an Advanced Claim in Curve Hero

In Curve Hero, locate the patient and click Billing in the Sidekick.

Right-click the applicable invoice and click Send Advanced Claim.

Click Advanced Options, then click the Note horizontal line.

In the Note field, paste the attachment ID.
Note: It is recommended to precede the ID with: Attachment ID - .

Click Send To Batch. The claim is now ready in the Claims module.
