This quick guide provides an overview of the features included in the Charting module.
Note
Most of the features outlined in this quick guide can only be accessed by users that have the Chart permission enabled. For more information about permissions, refer to the quick guide, Understanding Curve Hero and Curve GRO Access Permissions.

Section 1 - Accessing the Charting Module

In the Sidekick, click Charting.

The Charting module opens and displays the odontogram.

Also displayed in the Charting module is the treatment plan. All procedures are stored in the History and Planning tabs within the Charting menu.

Section 2 - Understanding the Charting Colors
- The category determines the color that will display in the odontogram:

Planned procedures - Default color is red. These procedures are stored in the Planning tab within the treatment plan.

Procedures completed by this practice - Default color is blue. These procedures are stored in the History tab within the treatment plan.

Procedures completed by another practice - Default color is green. These procedures are stored in the History tab within the treatment plan.

Note: Regardless of which category procedures are created under (Planning, History, Another Practice), procedures will display across all tabs. Color code is kept for clarity about which category the procedure was created under.
Section 3 - Viewing and Disabling Tooth Surface Labels

When the cursor is hovered over a specific tooth area, the respective tooth surface will display.

To prohibit the surface labels from displaying, right-click any tooth, then in the drop-down list, click Hide surface labels.

The surface labels will no longer display.

Section 4 - Creating and Deleting Tooth Labels

To begin the process of adding a tooth label, right-click the tooth, then click Create label.

Enter the tooth details.

The details entered in the tooth label are stored in the Notes module.

To change the position of a tooth label, click and drag it to the applicable location.

To delete, right-click the tooth label anchor point.

In the drop-down list, click Delete label.

The tooth label is deleted and no longer displays in the odontogram.

Section 5 - Adding and Erasing Condition Drawings

In the Charting menu, within the Conditions section, click the Draw button.

When the cursor is hovered over the odontogram, it will transform into the drawing tool.

To draw a shape, click and drag the drawing tool.

The color applied can be updated by selecting a color or entering a hex code.

To erase, click the Erase button.

To erase a condition, click and drag the erase tool over the drawing area.

Section 6 - Viewing Images Attached to a Tooth

The image indicator will display in the top-left corner of the tooth number.

To view an image, click the tooth number.

In the drop-down list, click View imaging.

A dialog box will open which displays the image attached to the tooth.

Section 7 - Printing the Odontogram
