This quick guide outlines the steps required to chart furcation in the Perio Charting module.

Section I - Accessing the Perio Charting Module
- In the Sidekick, locate the patient.
- Within the Sidekick, click Perio Charting.

- The Perio Charting module is displayed.
Note: A perio exam will only display if the patient previously had one. To create a new exam, refer to the quick guide: Creating and Opening a Perio Exam.

Section II - Viewing Perio Exams in the Graphical View
- By default, the Perio Charting module displays all perio exams in the Graphical view.

- If the exam is in Table view, switch back by pressing the R key or clicking the Switch to graphical view button.

Section III - Viewing Perio Exams in the Table View
- To access Table view from the Graphical view, press the T key or click the Switch to table view button.

- The Table view of the perio exam is displayed.

Section IV - Selecting an Active Site
There are four options available for selecting an active site:
Option A - Select an Active Site in the Graphical View
- Click the affected tooth in the Graphical view.

- In the Perio Charting menu, select the active site.

Option B - Select an Active Site in the Table View
- In the Table view, select the active site directly.

Option C - Select an Active Site using the Site Selector
- Click the Site Selector drop-down menu and select the active site.


Option D - Select an Active Site using Arrows
- Use the selection arrows next to the Site Selector to choose the site.

Section V - Charting Furcation
- Once the site is selected, scroll down to the Furcation section.

- Cycle through grades using the F key or select the grade directly in the menu.

- The Graphical view will display the furcation icon.

- The Table view will show the furcation grade in its dedicated row.
