Description
This quick guide provides an overview of how to use shortcuts in the Charting module.
About
Charting shortcuts simplify the charting process and reduce the time it takes to chart. These shortcuts are therefore an important tool for increasing workflow efficiency and boosting productivity in a clinic.
Important
In order to use shortcuts, a shortcuts list must be created and assigned to a clinic. For instructions regarding how to create a shortcuts list and also how to assign a clinic to a shortcuts list, refer to the quick guide, Adding and Updating Charting Shortcuts Lists and Shortcuts.
- The clinic associated with the logged-in user dictates which shortcuts list is displayed. For multi-clinic practices, ensure you are logged into the correct clinic via the User drop-down menu:
-
Click the User drop-down menu.

-
In the User drop-down list, click the applicable clinic.

-
The active clinic will now display in the User drop-down menu.

-
-
To open the Charting module and access shortcuts, click Charting in the Sidekick.

-
The Charting module is displayed. Use the Planning tab for upcoming procedures or the History tab for existing procedures.
