Adding and Using Smart Shortcuts

Section 1 - Adding a Smart Shortcut to a Shortcuts List

A smart shortcut can be added to any shortcuts list. Ensure that the shortcuts list which will house the smart shortcuts is created in the Charting Shortcuts module within Administration first.

  1. In the applicable shortcuts list, click the Add shortcut button.

  2. In the Add shortcut to shortcuts list section, enter a unique Shortcut name (maximum 20 characters) and a Description. 
    Note: The description will display in the Charting module when the cursor is hovered over the button.

  3. Select a Color for the shortcut button. If no color is selected, the default color (white) will be applied.

  4. Click the Add line item button to add a procedure to the smart shortcut.

  5. Locate the applicable Line item in the selector. 
    Note: Bridge procedures cannot currently be added to shortcuts; please select bridges directly in the Charting module.

  6. Click Add Another to continue adding line items, or click Add for the final procedure.

  7. Review the line items and enter any necessary Options (e.g., tooth surfaces). Click Done.

  8. Click the Save button to save the data to the shortcuts list.

Section 2 - Using Smart Shortcuts in the Charting Module

Shortcuts can be accessed in the Shortcuts section within the Charting module.

  1. Locate and click the applicable Smart Shortcut button. 
    Note: If you have more than 12 shortcuts, use the navigation arrows to see the rest.

  2. Click the applicable Teeth in the odontogram.

  3. Curve Hero will automatically add the procedures to the Treatment Plan. 
    Note: If data displays in red, click it to input required information (e.g., specific tooth data).
