This quick guide outlines the steps required to view the properties associated with a file, letter, or folder in both single-clinic and multi-clinic practices.

- In the Sidekick, locate the patient.

Within the Sidekick, click Files and Letters.

In the Files and Letters module, click the More Options menu (three dots) within the applicable row.

In the drop-down list, click Properties.

The Properties window opens and displays the following information:
- Type - Indicates if the item is a file, letter, or folder
- Size - Displays the size of the file or letter (N/A for folders)
- Location - The patient associated with the file or non-default folder
- Created - Date/time the item was created
- Created by - Name of the user who created the item
- Last modified - Date/time of last modification
- File ID - The unique ID number attached to the item

- With the Properties window open, click any other row to quickly view its properties.

- In the Sidekick, locate the patient and click Files and Letters.

Click the More Options menu and select Properties.

- Created at - The name of the clinic where the item was created
- Modified at - The name of the clinic where the item was last modified
