Users have the ability to hide line items from statements if they were removed from the original invoice. When this option has been selected to show the removed line items (which is the default), original line item will be displayed. In either case, the running balance on Statements will be tallied properly. Once you choose to hide removed line items, they will no longer be displayed, but any resulting transactions such as overpayments and refunds will still be visible.
Hiding Removed Line Items From The Statement
Follow these steps to activate the selection for hiding the removed line items:
- Navigate to Statement Configuration under the Procedures and Fees Section in Administration section.

In the Statement Options, toggle the “Removed line items” option to “Hide” by clicking the toggle.
- Navigate to Billing to render a statement for a patient. Note - Currently, removed line items are set to be hidden on the statement globally. You can choose to alter this here if you want to by clicking the “More Options” button.

Click “Print Statement”.
- You will notice that any line items you have removed from included invoices will now not be shown in the statement.
