Description
This quick guide outlines the steps required to create year end financial performance reports.
Contents
There are three suggested financial reports that every practice should create for year end:
- Responsible Party Aging Report - The Responsible Party Aging report contains all accounts with a balance owed to a practice and indicates whether the outstanding balance is owed by a patient or insurance company. The age of the balance is also contained within this report.
- Period Summary Report - The Period Summary report contains payments, procedures, and other financial information within a specified date range.
- Tax Receipt - Tax receipts for a specified period of time can be generated for a patient and may be either printed or emailed.

Note: A provider of service is a practitioner that performs dental services for a patient.
Note: A default dentist is the dentist that is assigned to a patient within the patient's profile.
Note: When one or more default dentists are selected, the total amounts for the services completed by the selected providers of service will be calculated with reference to the selected default dentist(s). As such, only the services performed by the selected default dentist(s) and providers of service will display in the report. It is therefore important to keep in mind that the productivity displayed for the selected providers of service will be limited to the dentists selected in the Select default dentists dialog box. To avoid this from occurring, ensure that all dentists are selected.
Note: If a practice has only ever had one clinic, the Clinic(s) drop-down menu will not display.
Note: To create a report which displays the production, payments, and transactions for a provider of service by clinic, run a report for the provider of service for each individual clinic.
Note: For additional information about profile tags, refer to the quick guide, Creating, Adding, and Viewing Profile Tags.
Note: When the Period Summary report is exported, each section selected in the Sections to display drop-down list will be exported into its own separate CSV file. If more than one section was selected in the Sections to display drop-down list, and only one file was exported, it may be the case that Google Chrome is blocking pop-ups. If pop-ups are blocked, Curve Hero will not be able to export multiple CSV files. To allow pop-ups in Curve Hero, refer to the quick guide, Exporting Multiple Sections in the Period Summary Report to CSV.
