Steps
Section 1 - Creating a Payment Refund
- In the Sidekick, locate the patient
Within the Sidekick, click Billing

In the Billing module, perform one of the following two options:
Option 1
In the applicable invoice row, click the More options menu, then in the drop-down list, click Add payment refund

Option 2
Right-click the applicable invoice row, then in the drop-down list, click Add payment refund

4. In the Add payment refund section, within the Date field, either enter the date or click the calendar icon to select a date from the calendar drop-down.

5. Click the Refund type drop-down menu.

6. In the Refund type drop-down list, click the applicable refund type.

7. In the Payment refund amount field, enter the refund amount.

8. Click the Add button.

9. The payment refund is added to the invoice

Section 2 - Adding a Note to a Payment Refund
In the Billing Module, perform one of the following two options:
Option 1:
In the applicable Payment refund row, click the More options menu, then in the drop-down list, click Add note.

Option 2:
1. Right-click the applicable Payment refund row, then in the drop-down list, click Add note.

2. In the Note dialog box, enter the note details.

3. Click the Save Note button.

4. The note is added to the invoice and the Note row will display the contents of the note as well as the note tags.
