With the correct patient at the top of the Sidekick, click Billing.

The Billing module opens and displays the patient's invoices.

The invoice typically includes the procedures that were checked out from an appointments.

In most cases, a claim is created on a single invoice, utilizing the invoice menu.

This creates a claim that includes all procedures on the invoice, except custom codes and inventory items that do not bill to insurance.

Sometimes a claim needs to be created to include procedures across multiple invoices, or to not include specific line items. This can be done by click the More Options menu at the top of the page.

Click the Claim option.

A window opens that lists the invoices for the patient for the last 30 days. The patient, the date range and the clinic can be filtered to narrow or broaden the invoices that display.

Create a claim by clicking the invoices to expand them. The procedures attached to each invoice will display beneath their invoice.

Click the procedures to include on a single claim. Procedures can be selected from different invoices if desired. Click Proceed to create the claim.

The Send Claim window opens. Add additional information as needed.

At the bottom of the window are the options Manual Claim and Send to Batch. To print the claim and send it through mail, click Manual Claim.

Click Send to Batch if the claim is to be sent electronically.

The claim has been created to include only the procedures selected.
